Bug or intended? Issues with teleport

Bug or intended? Issues with teleport
Is it intended that even a mage with 5 points in teleport often does not get sent where she asked to be sent? I'm not sure there's any point picking my exact area if I'm only going to get sent to that general region.
Re: Bug or intended? Issues with teleport
In fact, just now I didn't go anywhere at all. That can't be intended.
Re: Bug or intended? Issues with teleport
The interface for phase door is weird; perhaps it's that? You have to point the target at yourself, verify that you do indeed want to target yourself, then you can point where you want to go?
Re: Bug or intended? Issues with teleport
That did throw me at first, but this teleport is actually going. I got the image of the spell casting and the spell turned red, so I couldn't recast, but I just didn't go anywhere.
Re: Bug or intended? Issues with teleport
Also, I'm not exactly complaining about this but 4 points in phase door allows me to choose my exact location not my general area.
Re: Bug or intended? Issues with teleport
Actually I think it's 4x1.30 = 5.20 for most things with phase door as an option.
Re: Bug or intended? Issues with teleport
But it says that I only have level 4. If in fact I have level five because of the 1.30s, that should be changed.
Re: Bug or intended? Issues with teleport
This goes back to a question I asked a while back, somewhere on this forum. "What does mastery DO?" Apparently it acts as a multiplier to the number of points you have in a skill. If you have mastery 1.30 in a category and 4 points in a skill/talent in that category, then you have an effective 5.20 points in that skill/talent.
Perhaps the game should add a column to that screen, showing the effective level as well as the number of points invested. It'll be a bit ugly, but this game desperately needs a bit more revealing of mechanics to the user.
