Not sure if this was raised already, but ammo of different damage seems to mix in unpredictable ways.
If I have 8-10 damage in the quiver and wield a few 10-12s they all change to 10-12s.
It isn't always for the better and I'm not sure if this is a bug or if there's something about the strategy I don't understand.

not really a bug, it combines them to save space, though each one retains its correct damage, it is a stack (so first in last out)

I didn't notice that they split back up.
I can't remember exactly how, but this has made me pretty sad at least a few times.
There doesn't seem to be a way to unsplit the stacks. I am not sure this accomplishes the goal with a reasonable risk of potential unfortunate outcomes.
That is, (to me) this mixing behavior causes me more anxiety than managing the excess supply of lousy ammo.

The worst side effect of this is that one can have 800 ash arrows when one wants to drop 400 of them, ideally the worst 400. Considering their weight, this can be frustrating.
