Report non-reproducable stuff?

#1 Post by forkbomb »

Quick question (move this to a different subboard if this is the inappropriate place)...

I was playing a little bit last night with manually compiled TE4 on Linux (specifically Fedora 12) and hit a couple "bugs" that seem so far to be non-reproducable. I only ask because they could just as well be SDL hiccups or perhaps OpenGL snags related to F12 specifically (which has a reputation for having versions of software that are a little too bleeding-edge).

On one occasion my screen was totally hijacked by a very ugly light orangish color - I was totally unable to get to another TTY via Alt-Fn. Hard reboot was required. On another, tabbing to a different application resulted in a flashing/flickering screen (not just the T4 window). The screen was flashing "on" just long enough to get the character saved and get back to the main menu, and then the flashing ceased.

Woh no idea what could cause this, the opengl code I use is very basic ..
This only happens with T4 ? not with any other opengl apps ?
[tome] joylove: You can't just release an expansion like one would release a Kraken XD
