To put it simply: The game runs extremely slowly whenever it is launched with a controller plugged into my PC
Due to a different game, I tend to keep a Switch Pro controller plugged into my PC, but whenever ToME is launched with it plugged in, every action takes about 20x as long to process. This happens every single time, and does not fix itself if I unplug the controller - only if I close the game and restart it without a controller plugged in
The scale of the difference here is that, without it plugged in, I was able to autoexplore to jump between exits in old forest about 5 times in 3 seconds, if not more had I pressed the hotkey again sooner. With the game in "slow mode" from the controller plugged in, the same action of autoexploring from one exit to the other took an entire 8 seconds. Other similar issues also arise, such as the game occasionally not registering that I clicked anything requiring me to click again, saving the game taking upwards of 20 seconds, and long level load times.
