Bug with monsters switching poisons

#1 Post by Pyros »

So I ran into a randboss earlier that had poisons on, nothing too bad. The poisons were Numbing and Insidious, so dmg red and healing red. However over the course of the fight, I started failing talents. I double checked everything, disrupt gear in case of but nothing and no antimagic debuff, any potential other sources of failure but the mob only had crippling poison that could affect this. The deadly poison tooltip on me at the time however simply reflected numbing and insidious effects(reduced damage and reduced healing along with some nature dmg obv).

I restarted the save and tried again several times. It's very inconsistent, but can happen again.

Basically what seems to happen is when a mob switches poisons then apply the poisons again, the tooltip isn't always updated to properly reflect the current state of poisons. This leads to a monster with 2sustains and a deadly poison tooltip reflecting that, yet being affected by other poison effects. I assume it works on other types but crippling is the most obvious, since it can be forced to "proc" on your turn by simply spamming skills then cancelling, since the fail happens on skill press not on targetting.

I included the text log of that try(or well the combat part since the actual file was too big for an attachment), and I'll also upload a video of it happening once it's done.

Video is posted, quality will take some time, bug is near the end just showing the process I went through to check, don't think it can be embedded so just a link. In the video, the tooltip is wrong, although sustains are correct at that point. I don't want to spend another 20mins trying to find an example with the sustains that are also wrong though, I have some screenshots of the first time it happened though with the boss with Numbing Insidious active and still failling(twice too before I started looking into it cause it was weird, both times with no fail chance on the tooltip or crippling active at that point).
