This happened in 1.6 too, which caused me to quit a few promising runs. When the Agony effect is applied, it produces a ring of oscillating purple particles around the character; these particles sometimes remain after the effect ends in a rather annoying graphical glitch. This persists through saves. I tried messing with the particle effects option to fix it; setting particle effects density to 0 made the glitch difficult to see, but it was still present (plus Attentuate and other spells became invisible).
Is there any way to remove this visual bug from my character? As it stands, I'm afraid to interact with any Agony-using enemies at all, since the glitch can stack with itself (or at least it did in 1.6).

Hum that's rather strange, is it at random or like in some special case you can think of ??

Re: [1.7] Agony particle effect remains after the effect end
I haven't checked in 1.7, but in 1.6 this happened consistently if you used Providence to remove Agony. Providence could also cause some other visual effects to get stuck on your character, notably Stalk. I don't know if this is the only case where Agony gets stuck on your character, but it may provide a clue as to the problem.

I cant seem to replicate it even with providence :<

I managed to replicate it and collected the log:
https://pastebin.com/F7MyyzVM
It took me three tries so it doesn't always happen with providence.
