The Thaumaturgist class evolution has several inconsistencies with Mirror Image:
- First of all, the Mirror Image does not have the wide beams. Their copied spells will be the "normal" version.
- Second, casting Orb of Thaumaturgy works - with a few small problems.
- Problem One: If the Mirror Image gets destroyed while their copy of the Orb is active, the Orb visual will remain on that tile forever. EDIT: not only Orb (also 'works' with Aether Breach.)
- Problem Two: The Mirror Image will only mimic the Orb (and other spells) when they are cast directly at a creature.
- Problem Three: Orb-mimicked spells have very weird damage: for example, my manathrust hits for 154, my orbed manathrust for 139. Mirror Image will hit for 55 and 3, respectively.
- Problem Four: Casting Orb of Thaumaturgy causes your Mirror Image to cast the Orb at the same target, but their Orb lasts a turn less.
- Third: There is a major inconsistency with the Orb, Elemental Array Burst and Mirror Image. Casting EAB while both you and the Mirror Image have an Orb on the same target will cause you to cast EAB twice, but the Mirror Image will only cast it once.
- Fourth: Multicaster combined with Orb also seems inconsistent: The Mirror Image will mimic Multicaster spells, but only if they trigger from the non-Orb spell. If a spell copied by the Orb triggers Multicaster, the Mirror Image will not copy the Multicaster-triggered spell. However, the spell that is copied by the Orb will be mimicked.
