[1.7 Beta] Artifact book gets character stuck in rest

Trying to read the artifact book Forbidden Tome: The Illusory Castle throws an error, fails to load a memory level and permanently stops the character in rest. No other actions are possible, the character just keeps resting even with full stats and cooldowns with no way to interrupt it. Exiting the game and reloading doesn't solve the problem either. A View from the Gallery and The Day It Came tomes seem to work fine and it's just this particular book which is affected.

Do you have Forbidden Cults enabled, but not Embers of Rage?

I have all the DLCs. They show up both in Steam's installed DLC list and the game's module screen as active, however now that you mentioned it I tried starting a new Embers campaign and I get a similar error. I can get to the character creation screen, but when I click "Play" it just throws this error and a black screen. I tried reverting back to non-beta version and both Embers and the book seem to work fine then. So I'm guessing there's some sort of issue with the beta patch and Embers content in general?

Ah yes woops, you should disable the DLCs to test 1.7; as they require an update to go along with it
