Corruptor spells can't hit ice block on self

Was playing a corruptor, got caught in a 1k power 10 turn ice block that I had no way of cleansing at the moment, so I just tried to get free by damaging the ice block and found out that nothing I did worked. After this happened more times, I tried to do some tests on an adventurer with an exp mod on.

I would cast freeze on myself then tried to break free with damage, but soul rot and blood grasp would not damage the iceblock no matter where I targeted it, I tried targeting myself, enemies, random empty tiles, nothing. Drain and poison storm however were able to damage the ice block just fine. I also tried a bunch of different spells just to test it from different classes, I tried some anorithill ones and archmage spells as well, all seemed to hit the ice block just fine, except for ice shards.

Ice blocks are quite weird... they seem to block many activated healing talents as well, which can be very frustrating. And they completely stop healing from Fearscape flames (when you're in demon form), I think? But you'd expect a bit of that to get through, since some damage is supposed to get through. Ice is a little too harsh in its vulnerabilities and invulnerabilities to various kinds of damage and healing.

Iceblock status specifically blocks direct healing talents, but not regeneration. It's usually worth it to clear it instantly if you have the means of doing so, don't try to whack the ice. Especially, if you're playing any class with minions, those minions will aggressively target your ice block to try and break you out of it. This often kills you.

Pack a Shatter Afflictions, kids. It keeps you alive.

But it allows the use of shield runes and also allows you to block with physical shields. How are you able to wave a shield around inside an ice block, and able to use a regeneration infusion, but unable to use a healing infusion? It's confusing and overly punishing. Freeze can already hit you for 1500 damage or whatever, does it really need to pin you in place AND stop outgoing attacks AND stop healing too? I just think it should allow healing if it's going to allow shielding; the pinning and attack-blocking feel natural and seem to make sense.

And back on topic, it should accept damage from ANY attack that is aimed through it and that travels along a continuous path.

I completely agree - I think iceblock is currently misbalanced and could use a hefty nerf. I just wanted to clear up the current, existing mechanical effects of being frozen.

I don't think iceblock needs a nerf, you can easily remove it but just beating it up... if your attacks actually hit the block that is . It's the one debuff in the game along with daze that I can remember that you can do something to remove without using any debuff removal cleansing method.
