Hi,
I knocked on Tannen's door after clearing his tower and going through Merana's dialogue (so after the portal was created), which froze the game.
When I loaded my savefile, I was in last hope but Merana's dialogue didn't appear, so there was no portal constructed.
I also still had the athame and the diamond in my inventory and the quest there and back again was still active.
Also the orb of many ways was jewelry after i loaded my savefile.
