Step Up doesn't last full duration.

At 5/5, Step Up increases move speed by 1000% for 1 game turn, or until a non-movement action is taken. It has not been doing this for me. I'll get somewhere between 1-5 steps on average before the effect suddenly ends (nothing but movement, nothing triggering, no debuffs happening, no casting, JUST moving). Sometimes I'll actually get more, but I've not once gotten the full movement I should be before it shuts off. Is this a known issue? Working as intended (in which case please adjust the tooltip)? Just me, possible addon incompatibility? It's a bit irritating as this talent should be an essential mobility tool for my bulwark, but instead turns into wasted talent points due to unreliability. Planning movement during battle is quite difficult when you don't know how long your own buff will actually last.

Appreciate any help with this matter.

I think it lasts until next game turn plus 1 turn. It will end if any of your sustains deactivate or when you activate something. Since your character skips some time after making a move, the remaining duration is then reduced by that time.

When you let the movement speed buff run out, you're at the start of a game turn. Don't trigger Step Up at the end of a game turn.

Well I can't really help when in the turn it triggers since it triggers upon killing an enemy, and I don't get to decide where in the turn counter my blow will fall. And as I said, it has run out in only a couple steps with literally nothing else happening but moving, so it's not a matter of things activating or what have you. I have killed the only thing on screen, with nothing but basic attacks, so nothing is on cooldown, being activated or deactivated, no effects starting or ending, just Step Up, which /clearly/ states that you gain this movement bonus "for 1 game turn", not "until the end of the current game turn". If that is the way it functions, then the description needs to be altered to reflect this.

Do you have any talents set to auto cast?
