Cannot start Doombringer

Hi, I cannot create a Doombringer. I was just playing one, it died, I decided to change race, went to the character creation screen, The whole Demon section is gone.

I am a steam user and paid for the DLC

Yes, the DLC exists, game/dlcs/ashes-urhrok.teaac

Yes, the DLC is enabled.

The new version 1.5.5 ( "Whoops" -- fateful name.) was just installed, BEFORE I killed the doombringer. Everything was fine until I tried to start a new doombringer -- but there is no option to do so.

There was one funny thing, when I went to look at add-ons, it said that Ashes of Urrok had status "Manual:Active", where the other DLC had status "Auto:Active". I changed it to "Auto:Acitve", but it didn't seem to make any difference.

I cannot play the doombringer by using a character out of the "character vault".

Were you not logged in at the time? Not sure if that would make any difference, but I thought I'd ask.

This problem was due to the fact that the Steam login to the TOME environment wasn't working. Later, when the login was working, the Doombringer option appeared.

So, the sequence of events was:

(1) sometime in the past, I created a Doombringer character
(2) Something was wrong and the Steam client couldn't log into TOME
(3) I loaded the save game with Doombringer, and everything was fine
(4) I killed the Doombringer and tried to create a new one. I could not, due to the Steam client not being able to log into TOME
(5) I posted the prior note.
(6) Now the Steam client can log into TOME. Now I can start a Doombringer and everything is right in the world
