Through The Crowd & Nature Summons

so I just got Through The Crowd on my summoner and all of my summons have a buff that says "you can never damage your friends" but they're still killing me. How do I friend my summons? cant find anywhere to send a request

The problem is specifically that sometimes it's not the summon doing damage directly, but they put out a persistent field effect in an area, so it doesn't work for rimebark or devouring flame from the fire drake. It does help with the fire drake's fire breath and the hydra breaths, which in particular makes the hydra a lot more useful.

Also note there is a bug where through the crowd blocks "heal friendly targets when you use a nature summon" from gear.
