[1.5.2] Game is stuck in Dogroth Caldera

I tried to complete both dreams (wife one was easy, the mouse however....) and since I wanted to do it fast I let my character die in the wife dream after completing it. One time I pressed the move up button and just let him crash into a mob until he died, then back into the main area my game bugged. No entities are shown, neither my own character, the whole map is seen (from my characters pov) but only has unlit tiles. The game is accelerating at an incredible speed, every second a day passes.

Also my characters are not showing up in the character vault since starting again last week after a few months. Old characters are fine, the newly created ones not.
