My level 50 Marauder is in High Peak (level 9), and I suddenly discover that I am unable to use any of my abilities due to lack of stamina. In addition, my maximum stamina has been significantly reduced (I'm sitting at a max of 7 without gear). The only debuff I have is the Miasma zone debuff, which does not affect resources in any way.
In an effort to understand why this is happening, I disabled all sustains, and removed all gear to no avail. Without gear I am losing 8.1 stamina per turn. I have 58 points in Willpower. I do not use any addons.

Any chance there is a simple fix to this issue?

Re: Stamina Loss & Max Stamina Reduction Bug?
I just fixed another save with this problem, so something is up. The character has only 20 max stamina and -23 vim regen per turn as a level 30 demonologist. The negative vim regen on a demo makes me think this is related to items in some way.
<astralInferno> poor stunt

Re: Stamina Loss & Max Stamina Reduction Bug?
Hey, person with the save above here. Can confirm that I had a similar issue, and actually after Stunt fixed it I went back to the area, and ran into Ggrlklrlkrlkr (whatever his name is) again, and halfway through the fight the bug happened again. I was going to resubmit it to be fixed, as hopefully this was just a problem with the boss, and wouldn't occur again. However, if you're having this problem as well, it's potentially bigger than I thought. Did you also run into the Tentacle boss?
EDIT: Actually wait, I just remembered something. Each time this happened, I was resting and was hit out of the rest. Is it possible that this had something to do with sustains that deactivate on rest (like Osmosis Shield)? If the marauder char was using blade flurry or true grit or some other stam draining sustain, maybe that's the problem?
Is it possible that the combination of 'activate when enemies are visible' autocast, and the mechanics of those abilities, caused it to effectively 'stack'? I had -24 total vim/turn drain, maybe Osmosis Shield turned on the equivalent of 8 times, also applying its stamina sustain cost, and then deactivated due to hitting 0 resources, while not properly turning off? That makes total sense going by what I'm remembering, but it might be something completely different.

Honestly I can't even remember what monsters I was fighting when it started to happen. However, you are correct that I had True Grit activate automatically once enemies are visible. In addition, I was also using Total Thuggery very regularly, which is another sustain that cancels on rest. Perhaps you are onto something here...
