[1.4.9] Suffocating with healthy supply of air

My charcter started suffocating and taking damage after he had depleted his air in lake nut level. I quickly moved to air bubble but even while air meter was filled to almost full there my charcter still continued to drown for several turns killng him in the end. All enemies were killed in that part of the level so this must be pretty nasty bug.

Thankfully blood of life saved me. I would have been pretty mad if I lost my character like this.

never seen this - could it be an addon?

Actually I had this happen to me too once and I don't use gameplay changing addons.

I've also had it happen, pretty sure even changing to waterbreathing doesn't clear the suffocating debuff
