Offline Vault Problem

So, recently I've been having this issue where my vault is in a perpetual "offline" mode. No matter what happens. I've asked for help a lot of times over chat and nothing seems to be working. I'm aware of this being a common issue, but I would really like to transfer items to and from my vault, and not having the opportunity to do so is frustrating at times. The vault used to work for me, this only started happening about a month ago. Is it possible that we'll see a fix for this?

It's an old problem (I've had an offline vault for months), but no-one seems to have a general solution. There have been suggestions for individual fixes (they didn't work for me, though).

Yeah nothing has worked for me either. I really want to access my vault, especially with the donations I made for the Orc Campaign, I have a lot of vault slots that I would like to store items in. I wish there was some way to fix this, because right now my vault is useless and the offline vault only allows me 3 slots.

My apologies for the Necro, but it feels better than starting a new thread on an already reported problem.

I've been having this issue as well for a long time, so it's not exactly new. I don't know if it will help, but if it will I have a character that's still alive that is having this problem, and would be willing to donate his save if it will somehow get down to the bottom of this.

Maybe the problem is linked to separate installs with different versions... ? Unmatching profiles or configs...? Someone on steam had fixed the problem by copying his version of tome with working item vault to a computer having tome with non-working item-vault, and it solved the problem. I had an old installation from few years back; then item vault worked fine. Fresh install on version 1.4.9 on a different computer, and item vault is now permanently offline. Unfortunately cant access the old install anymore...

FWIW, old install was on Windows 7. Fresh install is on Ubuntu 16.04.

It would be amazing to get this fixed since its one of the main reasons for buying the game. Also would be glad to donate more and get more expansion packs if these basic functionalities worked

Update:

I bought the game again in steam (want to support the creators). Installed steam-version on the same computer and tried with my old tome-account -> Item Vault still not working.

Created new account on tome server, started steam-version, logged in with new account -> can play the same characters as with old account but Item Vault is now working for this new tome account.

So the problem has to be in faulty profile on tome servers.

If someone likes to dig in this further id be happy to help if possible.

I have this same problem. For now I've just hacked the size of my offline vault to match my online one.

Yeah, this problem still exists...

My online vault used to work several, several versions ago (before this game was on steam if I recall correctly), but then I stopped playing it for a few years. After getting back to it this week, it turned out that I can only ever use the offline vault, even when logged in.

Not sure how relevant this info is to the bug, but I'm not using the steam version (downloaded straight from the website) and got the DLCs with some leftover credit from some old donations. I'm not using any addons right now, but don't remember if that was the case when I first played it like three years ago (don't *think* I installed any addons, but not sure).

Guessing it was some sort of conflict with old items/characters, I deleted all my old characters and all the items in my online vault through the website, but it made no difference: still can't access it ingame with a newly created character.

There was a workaround somebody found for this posted in a previous thread. I'll see if I can find it again.
