After defeating boss (sorry, didn't save his name) with my elf summoner I picked up some gear and 2 paper letters (lore) simultaneously - they were on the same tile. That's what I got (see attachment screenshot).
The game is on my Steam with latest updates & addons. OS: Windows 7 x64, integrated Intel video card.

uhm... yeah, it might be a bug...

you picked up multiple items at once, and they all opened their lore
surefire is a bow. most likely a random drop out of the boss you killed.
carefully preserved letter is a piece lore, that always drops in the rhaloren camp.
you must have also picked up the rod of recall, if you didn't pick it in the scintillating caves.
if you click out, anywhere, the message on top closes, so you can read the next one.
then, when you are done with it, you click "elsewhere" again, to close it.
you click elsewhere until there is none left.
its how it always was

in case its not obvious, ALL artefacts have a lore popup, so you can end up opening 5 to 8 of those at the same moment.

Ye I think you're right. They look messy because the shortest one is placed ot top, and because text frame doesn't have any crisp borders. Anyway in that moment I thought it doesn't supposed to look like this, so I reported it. Devs will decide is anything need to be done with this or not.
