[embers] Life support suit talent does not scale with tier

I crafted a life support suit on tier 5 and it still made "+1 life support". All other steam crafted items scale up their granted talent (e.g. all hand tinkers).
Needless to say I was majorly disappointed when I learned all those talents and wasted 4 ice ant stingers on that item.

Life Support is an injector talents, it has no business having a level over 1 ;)

With all the things you require to make this, I excepted the talent itself to be the usp for crafting a high tier. It's definitely not a bad item by itself with that talent beeing level 1, but for the cost (5 recipes, 9? generic points, 4 ice ant stingers) I was just a bit underwhelmed after I invested my generics for that.

Talent level means nothing, I could make it display level 5 and have the same effect.
There are no other craftable tiers but tier 5.
As for being underwhelmed .. you mean by the armour that makes yourself nearly unkillable ? heh ;)

The thing is that it requires many skill points, which could have been spend on e.g. thick skin etc. I said the armour itself is not bad for tier 5, good even. It's just that is also costs things to get it besides the drop. Just my opinion.
I would have rather spend the generics on something else than this and just wear my chromatic harness.

Anyway: Just thought it was an oversight. Hence the report.

You did get a lot more than just that item for your investment of points though.

I did not. I got 0 useable tinkers from all my points in explosions and chemicals. I only spend those points for the armour. The 5 points in therapeutics were definitely worth the 4 prequestie salves alone, though I did not have tier 5 ones at the end, because the armour ate up 4 of those very rare ice ant stingers.
I think those points in explosions + chemicals were 6 only, not 9, but you might understand my "underwhelmed feeling" when I spend 6 points and 2 tier 5 salve (had do use my low tier unstoppable/frost salve afterwards) to get that item.

This was a personal shadowed experience though and I am sure there are more uses for those 6 points in general and I might just have been unlucky only getting 9 ice ant stingers in my run. I should not have included my very subjective feeling presented like an objective fact, which was not my intention. It was wrong.
I was just excited to see what 5 recipes, some rare ingredients and 6 generics would get me more than the unique armour I was already wearing, that just dropped. That was "underwhelming". Not the item/points itself. The item is good and in general you probably get more than that item from those 6 points. which what you probably meant with "you".

So on a sidenote: ice ant stingers are pretty rare in the orc campaign :P

Then you simply had bad luck from random generation of schematics. That's the nature of tinker investment; you may or may not get something out of it, based on drops. Play accordingly.

Chemistry is I'd say up there in being one of the best Tinker talents in terms of recipes it's associated with.
