[Embers] Steam Powered Armour sustain deactivated on rest

#1 Post by Invain »

Steam Powered Armour sustain is deactivated on rest and auto-explore, even though steam gain per turn is sufficient to sustain it indefinitely.

If it's intended, it can be easily bypassed - the sustain takes no time to activate, so I can just set it to automatically activate when an enemy is visible, manually deactivate it after battle, wait for the cooldown to go down and continue auto-exploring. It doesn't make the game more difficult, only less enjoyable due to all the extra clicking.

This could also screw up fights though. If you try to rest but there is still an enemy in stealth on the screen.

The armour should deactivate and then the game says "can't rest, x to northwest", making the fight harder.

There is the opposite issue with osmosis shield which was never fixed. Activating it is instant, but deactivating it isn't. It deactivates on rest though and you can just tap rest. The sustains deactivates but it does not cost a turn because "can't rest, x to northwest".

So this "rest not checked in proper order" bug actually makes "the game more difficult" for the steam armour, not just more annoying.
