Can't play game when server is offline

te4.org seems to have hiccups today.

The game is unplayable without connection: it attempts to register my character online each time I exit dungeon. It takes a minute or longer untill it fails and lets me play. I can't access my saves as it says they're incompatible (why?). Loading takes considerably longer. Game acts weird.

I wish there was an option to play off line and the game would not even think of connecting to the servers,

Can you log off at the starting screen? I did this on the first day, when the server was acting up.

Playing on-line is fun -- darkgod activates otherwise inaccessible zones, sends gifts and whatnot. Not to mention the online chat.

Once it works, it is great.

When it does not work, on the other hand, that's another kettle of fish.

Even though the Game site seems to be back, I still can't play; just as when the site was down, my game is loaded, then the screen goes black, it tries to load again, and I get an error message telling me that my game needs the Stone Warden module, which isn't available (I'm not, of course, playing a Stone Warden).

Near as I can tell the logon thinks it works but then attempting to load a game or start a new one switches you back to random schmuck on a computer that had a donator on it previously, meaning all DLC and donator features are disabled since it can't connect to the server to sign you in or something. Having the same issue when loading my orc as you described.

I went back, and after a few tries, it started working again...
