[Embers] Skirmisher unlocked while playing melee class

So I had just started playing my new Sawbutcher when I reached the Sunwall Outpost. Upon entering a gunslinger joined me in battle. In the middle of a small fight I blocked against one of the enemies in the zone (I don't remember which one) and was immediately presented with the screens indicating I had unlocked the skirmisher.

My assumption as to what is happening here is that I blocked, triggering counterstrike, right before a shot from the gunslinger, who was more than 5 squares away, hit the enemy. At this point the attack from my ally would have triggered the counterstrike. I'm mostly just posting to let DarkGod know that this can happen as I am unsure if it is intentional.

Yeah, even enemies can meet the requirements and unlock it, which isn't ideal. Thanks for actually posting this.

I can confirm that I had the same thing happen to me, and this reasoning is roughly what I worked out to. Highly amused me.
