Lightbringer oddness

So my SP is using this wand Lightbringer, gives +10% light damage. Plus it summons this really cool orb that pulses every turn to do decent light damage in a radius of 5.

Activated it in my fight against the Poosh boss, had I guess 8 rounds of it left when I stepped through the portal back to the main map. Wander over to Sand lair to fight the alternate boss, and to my surprise, once I'm on the screen, the orb is back in the same position relative to me still with 8 turns left!

Must be a bug, but not a bad bug. Just curious...

From the game's perspective, the orb is just another party member, like an Alchemist's golem. So, it doesn't appear on the world map, but it does re-appear when you enter a dungeon.

Do Summoner creatures behave in the same way?
