on behavior "standby" target dummies are still attacked

#1 Post by eastwind »

As an alchemist, I want to test two weapons my golem might use against the Nur target dummies.

I can control the golem (F2), right click on my character and choose Give Order->Set Behavior->Standby and set the leash target on the character to itself so it doesn't move, and leave it outside the training room but in sight of the golem.

The problem is the target dummy is usually in sight also, and the "Standby" behavior is overridden by combat and the alchemist uses whatever skills are not tactically disabled, both messing up the test and wasting ammo.

Sometimes it so happens that the dummy spawns just out of sight of where I left my char, and I can test fine.
So this can be worked around with patience by resetting multiple times until I get a good dummy spawn.

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding the intent of Standby, I expect it to disable all independent actions except following, or perhaps even including following, regardless of combat. The Default behavior lets the minion participate in combat.

Also, perhaps I have a mod messing things up - I'm running with a dozen of them. If the behavior described is not the default behavior then never mind.

Obviously a low priority issue as it's just the training room and has a workaround.
