[b40] Player cannot act

#1 Post by donkatsu »

When taking the stairs to Dreadfell (3) for the first time, I got this error:
[LOG] #YELLOW_GREEN#There is a previous level here (press '<', '>' or right click to use).

Code: Select all

Lua Error: /engine/Level.lua:77: Entity 5232(The Bad Plus) already present on the level
	At [C]:-1
	At [C]:-1 error
	At /engine/Level.lua:77 addEntity
	At /mod/class/Game.lua:715 changeLevel
	At /mod/class/Game.lua:1245
	At /engine/KeyBind.lua:224
And then afterwards, I stopped being able to act but game turns kept ticking on their own, so enemies kept attacking me rapidly without me being able to do anything. I quickly saved and quit the game, but upon loading, I am still unable to act and game turns still keep ticking down. Fortunately, I managed to save and quit again before I died, but as is I will be unable to continue.

Any suggestions as to how I can keep playing this character? The attacks come really fast, and I can't even cheatmode teleport my way out of the level before I just die. Dying does seem to fix the problem, but I'd rather not lose a life because of this.

has this been fixed?
This has happened to me a few times and it always results in death very quickly before I can exit the game.

Given that the thread is 3 years old and nobody seems to be reporting similar issues? I'd say yes.
My feedback meter decays into coding. Give me feedback and I make mods.
