[1.3.1] Ogres not unlocking!

Unlocked Ogres last night with a Shalore Marauder, and Ogre is not showing up in the character creation options. I do have addons installed to allow for the creation of Trolls, Wights and Golems, so I don't know if there's a conflict with something there?

If it matters, the character who unlocked the Ogres was unable to die due to Lua errors, and I'm on OS X. Any assistance? Save for level up another Shalore to 20 and bash through the Halfling Ruins?

ogres are giants, so if trolls are listed as giants too, then the modded giants may be overwriting the base game giants.

did you not think about disabling the modds?

Trolls showed up as Trolls- their own thing- rather than Giants. I disabled all relevant addons, but still no Giant/Ogre option in the character creation menu. I wound up creating a new Shalore Berserker to attempt this again. We'll see if this works. I've been getting a good lot of Lua errors- 1.3.1 seems to be the buggiest version I've played- and as I don't code I'm not going to guess at their origins (graphics issues, OS X specific, etc.?). We'll see what works, I suppose.

Ran through the ogre-related areas again with a Shalore Berserker, defeated the relevant boss, and they still don't unlock. :|

Are you doing the Old Conclave Vault or just killing Director Hompalan in the halfling complex?

Old Conclave Vault. My first playthrough with a Shalore Marauder even brought up the unlock dialog stating I'd unlocked ogres. They don't show up in the character creation menu, even with addons removed. I figured it might have been some sort of odd Lua error as I was getting a bunch of 'em on that character. A second run through the Conclave Vault with a Berserker brought up nothing at all after defeating the boss, as if they were already unlocked- which they should be.

Might need to manually edit the unlocks file then.

Yeah, really sure what could be wrong there. You can manually edit allow_build.profile (which if you run windows should be somewhere like C:\Users\Your Username\T-Engine\4.0\profiles\online\modules\tome) and add these two lines:

race_giant = true
race_ogre = true
<astralInferno> poor stunt
<astralInferno> you suffer so that others may suffer in the intended way

I'm on OS X, not Windows, but yes, it's there in allow_build.profile, as they should be since I unlocked them legitimately. I can't even hack the thing to get them to show up. :shock:

After a bit of tampering, I found the issue. It's with the Infinite 500 addon, of all things.

I should have just pulled all of the addons- that would have made sense- but I assumed, wrongly, that extension of the Infinite Dungeon wouldn't affect character races.

Updating to the most recent version of the addon solves this issue. I can create all the Ogres I like, and take them as far as they'll go.
