TOME logs me out all the time

#1 Post by Shrugger »

I recently reinstalled TOME - no steam - and it's not working right.

When I log in in the main menu I cannot see my high scores or load my saved games. When I try to start a new game, I only have the base game modes, races and classes to select from. And no access to the expansion content either, though I do have the addon file in the correct folder. When I return to the main menu, I'm logged out again.

It also gives me the "Online profile login" window every time I enter the main menu, as if I had just started the game for the first time.

What's going on here, and how can I fix it?

Thanks.

Hmm, that's odd. It feels as if it's not allowed to write to the folder that information is stored or something.

Ah, yes, it actually is. It also resets the write protection every time I unset it.
Guess I'll have to try a different folder. Thanks for the tip!

EDIT: It seems that no matter where I place the game folder, it's always write protected. Any ideas?

I first installed it into a dropbox folder. Later moved it into a folder of its own - nothing special, just a subdirectory of a folder that's directly on the HD.
