I discovered a way to double use offensive runes.
I haven't done much testing, so I am not entirely sure what causes this.
The bug occurs when using the auto use function with the rune talent (in this case I had a lightning rune set to use on visible/adjacent and requiring confirmation)
What happens is that sometimes 2 dialog boxes come up instead of 1 (rarely 3), the one from the autouse request. After selecting confirm to use the talent, there is a second dialog box still remaining, but the second dialog box doesn't lock the UI (therefore you are able to select the target from the first dialog box instance.)
After casting the first talent (rune), the second dialog box remains in the background and does not lock the UI, there is a box in the middle of the screen which blocks vision but otherwise game can continue.
If a menu is opened (inventory, the esc menu, char sheet etc) the second dialog box becomes the active UI after the menu is closed, at this point the other UI is locked (cannot press talents anymore). The second rune is used as normal. It is also possible to press on the buttons in the dialog box with the mouse.
I can only speculate as to what causes this.
Maybe other talents which were also set to auto-use. especially talents which take a turn to use.
I doubt this makes a difference, but my character had the swift hands prodigy when i discovered this bug.

"second box doesn't lock the UI"
it doean't lock cause its already locked?
and then the first box unlock it.
noone expected there could be 2 dialog boxes at the same time?
also.. what rune are you using that has a dialog box? or are you using a rune that is still an item?
but then how do you auto use items?! you CAN'T auto use items!!
===================edit================
refit golem has a dialog box... and the realign weapon/armor opens the inventory...
but runes?
=============another edit=============
actually, i think it happened to me once, but i was too confused to abuse it.

The relevant part of cksiu's post is:Radon26 wrote:also.. what rune are you using that has a dialog box? or are you using a rune that is still an item?
So, having used the rune and acquired the skill, requiring confirmation makes a dialog box.I had a lightning rune set to use on visible/adjacent and requiring confirmation
Re: Double Rune usage (abusable bug)
aright... that's may not be what this topic is about, but I believe its directly related.
Recently, when I tried a nightmare bulwark (HE MADE IT PAST LVL 10!) another instance of this bug happened.
In some forest I met a lone alchemist (or was it lost?) and clicked out of the window to check what bonuses he give. (i have a text file with all rewards, cause that's faster the wiki)
however, when I clicked back, the alchemist has moved and so did I... i killed 2 or 3 monsters before fixing the pop up window with left arrow button. and alchemist somehow survived that time.
