Accounts sharing achievements/stats

#1 Post by ad26 »

Hi, I occasionally enjoy setting up a brand new account to play with a completely fresh profile. Unfortunately I've had a really hard time doing this because new accounts end up sharing certain stats with old accounts for no apparent reason (even without logging in with an old account after setting up the new one). Inexplicably old achievements will appear and playtime I certainly never had on the account in question will be added. This has happened on two separate occasions with different accounts and plenty of time inbetween.

What is going on? Can I avoid this somehow? It's kind of a big deal since I even donated on one of these new accounts with the intent that it would be a fresh one, only to have it "ruined" in the way described.

I believe this is because you have achievements and stuff on your local directory.
You could empty your local game directory, or from the website clear your current account, unless you specifically want to keep your old account intact.

I had a brand new installation, so unless something is stored in a hidden folder or in the registry I don't see how that could be it. As for wiping out the original account that is not an ideal solution, but even if it worked I don't think that could be the explanation, since (if I remember correctly) that doesn't reset time played, which definitely found its way to the new account. There doesn't appear to be a way to truly reset an account.

Yeah, you should have a possibly hidden folder in your home directory called t-engine or something similar.
Addons: Arcane Blade Tweaks, Fallen Race, Monk Class, Weapons Pack
Currently working on Elementals. It's a big project, so any help would be appreciated. :)
