Didn't unlock Demonologist (Spoiler)

Hey all,
I've read that the Demonologist gets unlocked when you use the rod of recall after a certain point in the game. Instead of going outside, you're teleported to a demon continent where you have to fight your way to freedom. Once you've cleared the entire continent, the demonologist is supposed to be unlocked and you get an achievement ("Once Bitten, Twice Shy"). I've done all this, but didn't unlock the Demonologist. Was the Steam Forum incorrect or did I just bug out?

I think you get it when you actually leave the demon island. If you've already done that and not gotten the achievement/unlock, then yes, I'd say it is a bug.

The achievement is "Once Bitten, Twice Shy" right? I did get the achievement after leaving the demon island, but no unlock sadly. Argh I'll have to go through all that again

I had enabled the redhead cosmetic option, perhaps that had any influence? No idea, I'm going to try it again without redhead.

Got the unlock already on the island. I think you get it when you see the Eater of Souls.

(And yes, I am a redhead, so that probably has nothing to do with it).

Yes I've unlocked it now too. It was a bug as I did the same thing as I did on my first go, but it suddenly unlocked this time. Ah well, on to the new race!
