In the main menu i can log into my online account without a problem.
Once i start playing a character though i get the prompt: "Online profile disabled (switching to offline mode) due to invalid module hash". I am in fact online while playing, since i can use the online chat but my characters are not connected to the online profile.
I have tried several things already to fix this:
-I get this same error when playing on my steam version of the game and on my standalone/launcher version.
-I verified all files of my steam version and when starting the standalone launcher it says everything is up to date (1.2.3).
-I deleted the tome module files (campaign files) and redownloaded them via the launcher and via steam update.
-I deleted the "C\User\T-Engine" folder and restarted both versions of the game, basically wiping all my achievements, progress and settings
But this error still persists! I am at my wits end. I can't affort to completely wipe both copies of the game and reinstalling them fresh. My bandwidth is limited per month (UMTS stick) and i don't want to blow all my download capacities of a whole month on this.

the issue still persists
Re: Unable to connect characters to online profile
I've had this problem.
I do what you do, delete all files and users\NAME\t-engine folder and files.
then download, reinstall etc.
make sure your firewall enables the program to go through.
another thing you can try is to create shortcut to the executable, and then modify the launch to add --flush-stdout after the te4.exe (i.e. te4.exe --flush-stdout)
this dumps to te4log.txt, whatever it is called, live, rather than delayed, and you can see what is happening better. use baretail.exe type program to follow it.
