[1.2.3] Constant crash when exiting game

I haven't played ToME4 on steam since like version 1.1.1 and decided to boot it up again today. I made a Cornac Adventurer but soon changed my mind and tried "Save and Exiting" the game. However, after the saving bar runs a bit, I was met with a "Tales of Maj'Eyal has stopped working, windows is trying to find a solution to the problem..." etc error message. To make sure, I tried making a couple more fresh characters and exiting the game with them after playing awhile. They would all crash upon my attempt to Save and Exit the game.

The saving seems to work regardless, but the constant crash disturbs me. I tried Validating ToME4 files via steam and it was successful. I wasn't using any outdated addon's either (other than donator ones). What can I do to try and find the problem?

Same here. Crash when I "Exit Game". What's wierd is that if I say, enter city, then exit game, it will show overworld picture when it crashes

I bet that has something to do with steam launching games since I had gotten the same thing with other games on steam. I usually just need to wait a bit though and not click "force quit" or whatever it says.

My bad. I haven't noticed OP talks about steam. I'm playing off steam, but I still get the exit crash. So it's not realted to steam.
