1.2.2 - Cuirass of the Dark Lord losing Imbue Item effect

So I found Cuirass of the Dark Lord and slapped a Bloodstone into it for the Stun resistance. Then after I put the armor on, it lost the 60% stun resistance that the Bloodstone granted after a few rounds. While I understand the armor loses strength on it's own over time, I don't think it's supposed to lose the gem effect like that. And more notably, it did not regain the gem effect when I used the armor's ability to drain blood. It boosted the armor stats as normal, but did not get back the effect of the Imbue Item.

I encountered a similar issue. The Windborne Azurite doesn't work either, though I didn't experience affix drop-off like Gatewalker did-- nothing changed at all after imbuing.
