Inventory crashing? Bug?

So... I've crashed twice recently. The last one was heartbreaking, because I got 3 great uniques in the dungeon and while thankfully the game didn't delete my character, it did delete all progress in said dungeon. I guess I'll be saving more often now.

The crash happened just after I hit the rod of recall to leave the dungeon, and had entered inventory for about, say, 15 seconds.

My previous crash to desktop happened while looking at my inventory screen thinking about what to send to the pool in the fortress.

And... I often see odd inventory issues. Like, nothing equipped in most slots despite no negative effects (no disarmed, not switched to wrong weapon set). This most often happens after I pick new stuff up and lasts about 30 seconds to a minute, i usually just spam next turn till it's working again.

I guess I should be thankful I didn't lose all progress. But dang, I'd been hoping for those dragon gloves (area effect based on strength all game) and got them from the horned horror after being down to around 20hp and surviving. My character was finally getting to be what I needed... and crash.

Anyway. I don't know if whatever issue is actually inventory related, but it seems like it. I know viewing the log also seems to slow down my computer a lot.
