Description for Indiscernible Anatomy:

All direct critical hits (physical, mental, spells) against you have a %d%% lower Critical multiplier (but always do at least normal damage).
but actual effect increases "Crit. Shrug Off" (ignore_direct_crits) which makes this talent really overpowered especially on Oozemancer bosses.

Isn't it actually correct? This seems to perfectly correspond to what ignore_direct_crits does.

Something is wrong with description or with the skill. Skill description is "lower Critical multiplier" but on character screen it increases "Crit. Shrug Off".

Anyway in current state it makes Oozemancers (player and bosses) immune to critical hits.

The name "Crit. Shrug Off" is misleading. That's all.

No. They still can be targets of critical hits. Corona and all other on-crit procs will happen. They just don't receive additional damage unless your critical multiplier is very high. Because they are walking humanoid body-horrors, that is.

Name "Crit. Shrug Off" is not misleading, description of the Indiscernible Anatomy skill is misleading.

On character info screen you have two different attributes:
A. "Crit. Shrug Off"
B. "Crit. Multipl. Reduction"

Those two attributes work differently.

Indiscernible Anatomy description says that it should increase "Crit. Multipl. Reduction" but it increases "Crit. Shrug Off". With few points in Dexterity you can have more then 100% "Crit. Shrug Off", which means that you are immune to direct critical hits.

Ok both of use were wrong is something :) Unless DarkGod messed with it again recently, this is how it works:

x% "Crit. Shrug Off" aka ignore_direct_crits aka x% chance to ignore ALL additional damage, caused by crit. multiplier (from baseline 50% and more). Critical still happens. Normal damage is still dealt. Description is char. sheet is correct. You aren't. I wasn't either. Description of Indiscernible Anatomy lies.

x% Crit. Reduction aka Crit. Chance Reduction aka combatCritReduction actually makes you immune to crits x% of times. If crit was going to happen, it doesn't with x% probability. Doesn't affect success of attack itself. Affect only physical (melee and archery) crits (UNFAIR!!!)

TL;DR:
  • Armor is as underwhelming as everyone thinks it is
  • Indiscernible Anatomy isn't as OP as some think it is (but if you are crazy about Dex, it indeed can negate all bonus damage from crits)
