[1.1.5] Grushnak on holidays, no Orb of Destruction

This ghoul archmage has crushed all opposition but is now stuck at the slime tunnels.

I cleared the 4 Prides but only have 3 prides destroyed on the quest log, Grushnak's being the missing one.
It seems that he, afraid of what his spies reported him, decided to flee with the Orb of Destruction.

I cleared the Slime tunnels, killed the 3 guardians (invoked Dragon one, Undead twice and Elemental many times). But the stairs to High Peak haven't appeared so I'm stuck here. I even tried to dig the doors, so I now have 8 *opened slime doors* but still no stairs.

Am I missing something here ? The text indicates *the more you have the weaker the shield will be*. To am I supposed to slaughter more guardians ? Kill the tiny golem ?

Don't know if it's relevant too but the Lost merchant quest didn't pop in this game.

I just had a game where the Assassin Lord didn't spawn in Unknown Tunnels 2. All his buddies were there in their customary positions The Merchant was there in his customary position. Assassin Lord was nowhere.

I had that too in a previous char, but this time it's the quest here which didn't appear.

I tried deleting the Slime tunnels & Grushnak Pride zones, & even replaced them with ones from a previous victory.

In vain, the char is still stucked without the Orb of destruction to deactivate the barrier.
