I was a Dwarf Alchemist in Heart of the Gloom, the original version, and returning to the surface from level 1 through the stairs. I had gone to the last floor due to starting at character level 9. For some reason it wasn't immediately going to the Maj'Eyal worldmap. I pressed up to see if I was still in the dungeon for some reason before I noticed the strangeness, and the game indeed let me move up once. Only once. Then the days of the month started passing by one day per second roughly. Stopped it with task manager (did I mention I'm on windows?) in the 141st year.
I didn't have the transmogrification chest, which might be related. I had unlocked some of the new classes through lua cheats offline, so I reset everything in my profile.
Also some strange graphical problems in windowed mode. Returning from looking at a browser, my golem's shield wouldn't display properly and some text was cut off by white rectangles at the bottom (including the main esc menu dialog for exiting the game).
The log was a very large file for some reason. Windows send to zip couldn't make it small enough for these forums' limit. Fortunately 7zip did, after I cut out the useless "today is xnd of y metal of 141 age of ascendancy". And it was too long a file for pastebin naturally. But here it is.
I can't decipher it but it looks like the game hadn't tried to save yet.
Reloading the game brings me back to floor 3 of Heart of the Gloom at level 9 where I started there.

Re: [1.0.5] Can't go to worldmap
Happened again in Spellblaze Caverns. I visited Trollmire and Kor'pul since Heart of the Gloom, so I had figured it wouldn't bug me more. I paid a little more attention this time and noticed that the music stopped somewhere in there, one of the lore popups was only white, the golem shield displayed as a white highlight instead of the graphic, and also the online chat looked more quiet than usual (usually someone gets some kind of achievement every minute).
Here's a question about my personal setup: I'm playing with an old modem with possibly overzealous security... Do I need to open more UDP/TCP ports? I checked with "netstat -at" which I might try and abruptly pronounced it "fix'd" when things started working using TCP 2257-2258 but maybe the game needs more. Anyway I never had this problem playing offline.
Another, smaller log (did I get the right log?):

Re: [1.0.5] Can't go to worldmap
Please run the game with the flush log option from the launcher and repost the log when it re-happens
[tome] joylove: You can't just release an expansion like one would release a Kraken XD

Re: [1.0.5] Can't go to worldmap
This is not the same bug, but since I have some history and was running the flush log (I think, the checkbox for it has reset now), I thought I would post in the same thread about it.
The situation this time was I was on level 4 of the Old Forest, no graphical issues or loss of music or anything up to that point, beginning a vault as that dwarf alchemist (I felt cocky). I had cleared the entry room with alchemist bombs but for some reason a door was open already (golem?) and I was checking it out. My golem died to some assassins, the door was open and I could just see in, and I retreated to refit it. I tried a few times and was interrupted by stealthed thieves or assassins from that door. On my third or fourth try it went on for a while, then I hit some kind of bug that stopped the game, flipped the screen between what I had just seen and a completely blank screen, and didn't appear to respond to any input. I alt-tabbed out and terminated it.
I guess I'll keep playing with flush log and see if I encounter more such things.
The file is just barely too large in .zip format so I compressed it in .7z.

Re: [1.0.5] Can't go to worldmap
Here's a game that crashed to desktop, occurred in the maze. I expected the "worldmap bug" from before to happen because I couldn't see my golem's shield graphic, but there was some maze area sounds going on in the background and I could see some people chatting online.
I think I saw in that file some opengl errors? I don't know what to make of it.

Re: [1.0.5] Can't go to worldmap
Played a bunch more without encountering this issue. A little as a halfling rogue who died to Rantha the Worm, and continuing this dwarf alchemist and dying in the sandworm lair to some rare necromancer.
One thing different in when I make this bug appear vs not (the halfling went through many areas until death without seeing it) I think is changing window focus away from the game through alt-tab or something. Maybe.
