Cursor gets stuck (OSX 10.6.8)

#1 Post by hackum »

I've been trying to play the game, but there is a problem which is really annoying. Whenever I try to click on an action/talent on the bottom of the screen, the cursor gets stuck there and it's impossible to move it over any targets in the game. This happens both in fullscreen and windowed mode.

A screenshot is attached.

Targeting sets the mouse movement interpretation in some kind of bad mode, making it so insensitive to motion that it's basically worthless.

1.0.5 seems to fix this, in the mean time you can use the arrow keys (or shift + arrow keys).
Check out my addons: Nullpack (classes), Null Tweaks (items & talents), and New Gems fork.

Windows 8 here user and I essentially have the same issue, except for me the cursor gets stuck in the top left corner of the screen, which has the added, entertaining effect of dragging the screen at a fair pace toward the top left hand corner of the map.

I use keys and haven't even tried clicking the ability bar icons. Maybe that could cause my cursor to become stuck in a different, more convenient place. I'll try it and see.

Well, it works beautifully now that I have discovered the Windows 8 "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings" option, found by exploring the Properties dialog of my T-Engine 4 shortcut.

Earlier, I had tried running the entire system without scaling (or in effect scaling at 100%) and this had not solved the issue. So only actually changing the settings used to run T-Engine fixed this.

hackum, I don't know if OSX 10.6.8 supports similar scaling features, as it was released quite some time ago (over 2 years, before any kind of Retina display). You can have a look for such a setting and try to apply it if you find it! Do post back and let us know what you find.

As I solution to this I propose T-Engine automatically creating shortcuts with this setting enabled.
