Skeleton AI bug + odd lore bug

#1 Post by PurpleXVI »

On my latest playthrough I noticed that every single NPC skeleton(or at least a lot) appeared to fire off Re-Assemble to heal themselves as soon as they saw me, before having taken any damage, or at the very least while having taken only a fraction of the damage that Re-Assemble would heal them for. The AI may need adjusting on this.

Secondly, I noticed that several times, upon area transitions, I'd get the little lore scroll for an artifact, even though it was one I didn't have in my inventory and one I hadn't just found(it would have been weird if it was just lying there, on the stairs, anyway). Not sure what triggered it.

This is a symptom of a more general issue. Most skeletons (and most non-elite NPCs in general) use the dumb talented AI, which mostly just picks an available talent at random and uses it. Skeleton master archers and armored skeleton warriors, which use a more sophisticated AI, rarely (if ever) do this.

One fix for the healing issue would be to make it unusable if you're at or above your maximum life.
