It needs to be updated, it has quite a few issues since it doesn't match how saves vs powers work now.
It relies on the old assumption of (roughly)1 turn of effect duration every 5 point of saves above attacking talent power, but the game currently uses a percentage system, meaning what happens ingame doesn't actually match the information you're given so...players would get the wrong impression.
Also, I was able to kill the supposedly 'unhittable'orc, so it might be giving wrong info on the normal to-hit formula too.

It also appears the UI has changed since both tutorials were last updated. For example, in the basic tutorial, it makes some reference to an "air" meter when moving through water. I don't remember seeing this. In the advanced tutorial, it talks about your stats being displayed under the minimap. I don't see this either (and that might actually be useful).

The reference to the UI changes in stats are referring to the 'classic' UI. It's still available through a menu, but not the default. The default is 'minimalist'.
As for an air meter, it should be easy to see, it appears just above your health meter, but only when you are in a situation where you cannot breathe. (Being underwater is the most common. Buried alive is another, as is being choked by some grappling enemy.) You should indeed be able to have an air meter.
