Unable to load saved characters (1.0.4)

I'm not sure if this is a bug, or if this was never fixed in the first place, but I am unable to load my saved characters. I started playing about 2 and a half weeks ago and made about 4 characters, all of which I saved, and none of which I can load. When I click the "Load Game" button in the launcher, all that comes up is a blank blue box with a silver divider and a "show incompatible" button, which does nothing when I click it. Am I doing something wrong or is this a legitimate glitch?
