[1.0.4] Pets are not warped into the Zigur arena
This bug can be debilitating for classes like the Doomed that can't reacquire shadows from scratch instantly. The shadows attempt to warp to me, but you can't warp into the arena, so they just keep failing (which is sort of strange because thought-forged guys seem to have no trouble popping in).

Workaround: Deactivate your shadow sustain before talking to the trainer guy, wait for it to come off cooldown, then talk to him and reactivate your shadows as soon as you are inside the arena again. A bit of a pain but it works.
The whole arena(and all of Zigur for that matter) is a no-teleport zone, so that's why they can't get in. That probably won't be changed since you're meant to beat the challenge without using magic, but what could possibly be changed is blindside - have it not count as a teleportation effect. Shadows themselves aren't considered magic, anyways, so why should blindside?

There are plenty of non magical teleportation methods.

How would this affect shadows porting around vaults? I thought monsters in vaults were sort of "asleep" until you open it, so I don't see any problems with them escaping. They would be more mobile once the vault is opened, though.

Yeah, vault monsters are asleep and invincible.
Aether beam can be cast on walls and hit vault monsters but will deal zero damage unless you've opened the door first.
