I'm not entirely sure what's triggered this, but something is horribly broken with speed. I'm on insane difficulty, and I got inflicted with a "Cripple" that reduced by melee, spellcasting, and mind speed by 105%. I have gear that reduces my spell cooldown by 40% (+10% from boots, +30% from a sustain). I have no bonus to my global or movement speed. I check my status screen general tab, I have 100% global speed, 0% movement speed (these 2 are normal), and -104.68% spell, attack, and mental speed. I check my attack tab, and I have -2138.78% magic, physical, and mental attack speeds.
I haven't even gotten to the glitchy part. The game is acting like I have some sort of movement infusion on. I've been running around and nothing is moving, my stats aren't regening, all as if I had high movement speed, despite my global and movement speeds appearing normal. After moving for a while, a turn will pass and all the enemies do something, I get regen, etc. If I cast a spell, it seems like a single, normal turn has passed (unsure on that, might be that more turns are passing than I realize but I don't think so). Then I can go right back to moving and it's still as if I have high move speed. I think I accidentally the entire speed coding. ?\_(?)_/?
P.S. When the "Cripple" debuff wore off, I checked my status screen. All my speeds returned to normal, HOWEVER, while most the status changes appeared in GREEN to the right of their current numbers (e.g. "spell speed: 0.00% (+104.68%)"), one of them, my main hand speed (in the attack tab) said "speed: 100.00% (+2238.78%)" appeared in RED text, as if it was a good thing wearing off (rather than a bad thing wearing off).

Sounds like you got hit with a high enough speed penalty to trigger underflow and overflow your speed values.
Basically if you go far enough into bad, it becomes good. Guess Cripple needs a maximum set.

That's what I'm thinking too. The mystifying part to me, though, is how what got affected was my movement. Nothing was affecting my global or movement speed, and yet the bug only seemed to manifest there--my spell casting speed seemed normal enough (maybe not totally, but if it was bugged it wasn't overtly obvious like the movement speed was).SageAcrin wrote:Sounds like you got hit with a high enough speed penalty to trigger underflow and overflow your speed values.

Have you still got the save? It'd be really interesting to experiment with it with cheats on.
I saw similar strange behavior when cheating speeds (to test an add-on I made, which didn't write to anything except display). After cheating the speed, game.turn would advance like normal, but nothing ever moved. Not even projectiles. I think there was something weird going on with energy regeneration. If I rested, rather than moving, the enemies and projectiles would move as normal.

Yeah, iirc projectiles weren't moving for me either, but I might be wrong (though the fact that it sounds familiar leads me to believe I'm not wrong). I do have the save, but I'm not under "Cripple" 's effect anymore.nate wrote:Have you still got the save? It'd be really interesting to experiment with it with cheats on.

Re: [1.0.1] Something is terribly wrong with speed...
My guess? You somehow got a huge store of energy, somewhere around 10-20 turns worth. (the game lets you act when you have >1000 energy, and most actions use 1000. If you have 10 000 energy, you can act many times and stay above 1000 energy)
Re: [1.0.1] Something is terribly wrong with speed...
Update: I just encountered the bug again. This time, none of my actions caused time to pass (not visibly anyway). I was able to unload my entire skill repertoire (I'm level 50) AND I had the time to reposition myself wherever I desired to unleash every single skill. I still had about 50 turn's movement leftover afterword before time began to pass normally. I got a save file backed up of the glitch as I first noticed it when it happened the second time, but it's not cooperating in terms of letting me upload it atm.
