I was in the Daikara section of the Temporal Rifts sub-dungeon. I had killed the boss of the zone (dragon Daikara-boss-look-a-like) with the meteor effect from the Crown of Burning. This created lava tiles under the portal and loot this boss dropped. When the lava tiles went away, so did the loot and portal, trapping me in the Daikara section of the Temporal Rift.
Thankfully, my save wasn't too far back so I force-closed the game and went back to the save and did it again, making sure the boss died on normal, non-meteor-created tiles. This worked splendidly. However, after saving, I tested, and anytime I cast the spell off of the Crown of Burning and lava tiles covered the portal, it would disappear with the lava tiles.
I am not sure if this would also apply to the Prodigy talent Meteoric Crash, but it would be worth testing with that power as well, if someone could (this character is an archer, so I doubt I'd be able to unlock/use that Prodigy).
Not a huge issue, as it only affects a very small portion of situations, but thought I'd point it out.

Re: [1.0.1] Crown of Burning/Meteor and "dropped objects"
I seem to recall meteoric crash destroying stairs, when I had it, but they came back after the floor returned to normal... I could be wrong though, it's been a while. (And was in 1.0.0, but I don't think meteors were changed in any way, so a new bug seems unlikely...)
