after crash can't restore character

Ever since donating, I have crashed alot more. This is very dissappointing. I crashed today and had to go back a long way from my last save. Shut down and rebooted. I crashed again and tried to restore and it is hung on 82% loading. I have spent all day long on this character. I lost another character to constant black screen on loadng.

is there anything I can do to fix this character load?

Where are my character files saved?
