[1.0.0] Alchemist golem started with -5 stat points

I was playing a Cornac Alchemist (this one), died a couple times to Bill, decided to just start over. Asked Eidolon to die, started a new Cornac Alchemist.
My Alchemist golem started with negative five stat points. It gained points normally as it leveled, so at level 3 (as seen in the attached screenshot), it has -2 stat points. The link in the second Alchemist's charsheet leads to this blank page for some reason, maybe it didn't register properly, I don't know

This is a known issue and not necessarily a bug, per se. Golems can occasionally start with higher tier (usually steel) weapons or armor, which they don't start with the stats for. What happens is that the game autoallocates the stats the golem needs to use said items, and just preemptively takes them from the stat pool.

So, it's not actually starting with -5 stat points, per se, it's starting with five already invested, which just happens to bring the total below zero.

That said, there's been a thread or two over the years that offer suggestions for fixing this behavior (primarily either restricting kit from going over starting maximums or having starting gear have no stat requirement, regardless as to what it generates [I like the latter, heh]), so maybe it could stand another looking at, at some point.

Should I edit the original post title to somehow indicate this, or does it probably not matter?

Alright but while we're here... I seem to have 24 infravision completely naked at level 9

edit: (link) I put on a +3 infravision in items and still have 24 infravision. I had 3 points in heightened senses at one point, not sure if that has anything to do with it...

Should I make another thread about this?

That definitely looks like some kinda' bug, and yeah, probably deserves its own thread.
