Not sure if this is the right forum to post this in, as I did not see a technical support forum. Anyway, just started playing the game and am having a weird graphical issue with the text. I've tried changing the resolution, toggling anti-aliasing, and changing text type and size. Nothing works.
Here's a pic showing the issue: http://i.imgur.com/Yv3cn.jpg
As you can see, the regular text is fine, it's just the colored item and talent text that's messed up. Thanks for any help.

Re: Blurred Text
Same exact problem here. Playing on Version 1.0...
Re: Blurred Text
There isn't a tech support forum, but there are two forums for reporting bugs that would be appropriate (one for the ToME module and one for the engine). I took a quick look and didn't see anything like your bug.
Complete shot in the dark, but I notice that the Levelup screen is semi-transparent. That seems odd alone, although maybe my current system/version doesn't handle transparency. Regardless the alpha levels could be mucking with rendering.

Sorry about all the parentheses (sometimes I like to clarify things).
Re: Blurred Text
Moved topic to Bugs. Can you give some details of your system, graphics card, and check your drivers are up to date?
Re: Blurred Text
I think that's just you. Dialogs have been translucent on my machine for I don't know how many versions (always?). Never any text rendering problems, though.bricks wrote:Complete shot in the dark, but I notice that the Levelup screen is semi-transparent. Re: Blurred Text
Some (relevant, I hope) data from my computer:
Alienware Aurora R2
Intel i7 920 2.67Ghz
6Gb RAM
Windows 7 64Bits fully updated
Graphic card: Gigabyte HD 7770 OC 1 GB (AMD RADEON HD 7770)
Drivers: AMD Catalyst 12.11, 11 Nov 2012. AMD Updater reports it's the latest version
No decorator software installed, and standard win7 desktop is used.
You ppl need anything else. Just ask.
Thanks in advance.
One other thing: Fiddling with ToME video options, I've found that disabling Framebuffer solves the problem... What things I lose, visually speaking, disabling it? It's worth it haveing it enabled?

Re: Blurred Text
It's not worth it if it makes the display all weird
Framebuffers allow for some special effects, including better gamma correction and full screen effects (like the red borders when you get low on life)
