Hello!
I'm having this very odd problem with my PC.
I'm running a laptop, with intel GMA 965 (x3100) graphics.
everything I've read says it will run openGL 2.0, but I'm having this problem where the window opens, and I can hear music, and the mouse cursor changes to the game cursor, but the window is basically a frozen frame of what was under the window when it spawned. I have no idea how to get this working. I've tried updating to the newest drivers, and lots of testing.
Interestingly enough, it does the same thing with the FTL game.
Thoughts? Help?
Thanks!
Cody

Re: No Display, but have sound and cursor?
Interesting note... I have an ubuntu dist. installed on the same machine, which runs ToME just fine. No slow downs, no problems. My assumption is that the graphics card will run the program, but there's something conflicting with my openGL on the windows install... thoughts for that?

Hi,
I am experiencing an identical problem with my laptop using a Mobile intel 965 chipset which uses the same GMA X3100 GPU. Running windows 7 64bit.
I also have the same problem with the FTL game as well as in dungeon crawl stone soup...
By changing properties/compatibilty/run in 256 colors, I can "see" the game but that's the closest I can get.
The newest drivers for this chipset seem to be 2009 so I don't know if this is a common problem or one that can be easily solved...?
In the meantime I guess I'll have to try this interesting looking game on the desktop at home
