Ambush encounter, after defeating the Master, playing an antimagic berserker. I killed the unique fellow, got the achievement, then perma-died several turns later whilst surrounded by the non-unique orcs.

Ah, okay. I thought I had that one--the bloodthirst tree along with fungus makes for some really, really good regen on berserkers (over 200 hp/turn for good duration). I basically stood in one place, kept my regen up, and just tanked everything for a while. The boss went down, but I guess that really pissed everyone else off cause they somehow slaughtered me several turns later with a surprising burst of damage. Admittedly I probably got a little lazy or overconfident on that one and should have tried to get better positioning, but still pretty good for a yeek.

Ah well, I didn't like that guy anyway--got kinda crummy drops that game (no Garkul helm!).

Well yuo probably killed the grunts and thus the archers had LOS and used you for target practice ?
