If you get physical power over 100, scaled, rapid fire reduces from the 100 max, rather than higher physical power value.
And once pp gets to about 95, aim makes no difference to damage, as 26 or more damage bonus takes you over 100 scaled.
If we added a sixth tier, this would solve both problems, as I don't think anyone could get over 120.
But I've got to 100 with my cornac archer by about level 35.(10/10 x 4 with class and generic points obviously)
The bonus of aim, say if it got to 60, would take 100 to 110.
So can we have tiers = 6, dg?

Are you sure on Rapid Shot? It reduces combat_dam directly and looking at the code I think it doesn't get factored in at all if your self.combat_dam is less then 0 (which is quite possible with Rapid shot and should be fixed). In other words, combat_dam gets clumped in with your strength and other physical power bonuses before it's even passed to the tier formula.
As to a sixth tier..
To get that high at that level didn't you dump a ton of generic points into weapon training talents for bonus physical power? Personally I'd prefer that physical power was easier to come by from gear and that the bonus physical power from weapon skills only worked while using that weapon. If damage is to low at 100 physical power that it needs to go to 120 then damage should be adjusted. Adding a sixth tier doesn't sound like the solution to me.

Yes, just dumped everything into now and sling mastery and wrapb and knife mastery. Makes for powerful but limited play!
Sounds like I misread rapid fire mechanics

Sounds like he was suggesting a 6th tier just to put the cap out of conceivable reach.
Re: b38 aim & rapid fire interaction with physical power
My point is that *** really should be out of conceivable reach
Taking a random sample (the first ones I found) of 10 recent spellpower based winners I found that 4 of them had spellpower in the 70s, 3 in the 80s, and 3 in the 90s with 95 being the highest of the group.

The problem with the cap being out of conceivable reach is that randbosses hit it all the time >_>
Re: b38 aim & rapid fire interaction with physical power
I think that if a player gets to these lofty heights of power, any way at all, that that should be recognised.
A sixth tier would achieve this, as would some other methods probably.
